Making of Ngarba Evou, first Boss of the game

Ngarba Evou’s artwork: you will be able to appreciate the details of his physical appearance and combat weapon, the "Rhinoblade". Ngarba's artwork

Welcome to this devblog. We now present the making of Ngarba's equipment, first boss of the game. Appreciate his artwork below.

The images below show the process which led us to the result you will find in the final image.

The beginning

We created a sketch of his equipment that we developed crescendo..

Sketch of Ngarba: coloured parts represent spots where his accessories will be fitted and those in black represent his body parts. Sketch of Ngarba. His body parts are in black and the areas where his accessories will be fitted are in yellow.

Next

We fit the accessories : belt, bracelets, breastplate, shin guard and sandals

Accessories of Ngarba’s equipment: his belt is made out of elephant ivory. Belt made out of elephant ivory
Protection bracelets: Ngarba will use them to fasten his combat weapon (Rhinoblade) which is very heavy to carry. Bracelets
Ngarba’s breastplate: we gave it a tortoise back appearance.Breastplate with a tortoise shell effect

Ngarba’s Samaras: it is some sort of sandals that are highly appreciated by the populations of the North, Extreme North and Adamawa Regions of Cameroon. Samaras

Designing Ngarba’s artwork draws to its end: here, we add all the other accessories of his uniform (loin and floating bandages, black boxer, etc.), then we paint. After adding and colouring all the other accessories (loincloths, floating bandages, black boxer, etc).

Final models

We first finalise the art work as you can see in the image below

Then we realise the in game version as presented below.

He is holding the '' rhinoblade '', his combat weapon. We shall come back to the '' rhino '' in coming days.

This combat uniform was designed this way to highlight his combat style, the '' Rabsha '' (more details later).

But who is this Ngarba?

Ngarba Evou, native of Zama city, of the Zama tribe is Enzo Kori-Odan's brother in-law. He is responsible for the coup d'etat Enzo suffered on the day of his coronation. He is part of the team of the hero's Boss'/Enemies. His motivations go beyond the simple thirst for power.

Artwork of Ngarba, 2013 version: you can compare both versions (2013 and 2014) to better appreciate improvements.Ngarba's artwork, 2013 version

From this presentation you can identify him on the poster of the main characters of the game which we recently published.

Stay tuned and see you soon !!!
