Enzo’s walk in Zama, in the garden of his native city. Enzo Kori-Odan strolling in ZamaToday we unveil game's first screenshots

For the ocassion, we chose images of the beginning of the game with Enzo strolling in Zama, his native city.

We are presenting a new version of Zama to show evolution in game's graphic style.

Enzo's new stroll in Zama

The idea here is to illustrate the exploration phase of our Gameplay.

We opted for movements in horizontal scrolling but we also added freedom of vertical movement just like the ''beat them all'' style.

Please appreciate the images below.

Encounter with Mammy Makala, a donut seller in Zama. Enzo and Mamy Makala
Enzo’s short run to get to the city. Small race...
Enzo runs past a "Hékima", craftsman of aurionite objects and various tools. Enzo flies past a Hekima (craftsman)
The school of Zama under a tree with a griot as teacher. Zama school under the tree with the griot as teacher, (seated in blue)
Down town Zama city. The centre of the city
Dialogue between Enzo and Bouba, the shepherd of the city: Enzo informs him that his cows will not be allowed in the palace during the wedding. Dialogue with Bouba, the shepherd

The combat phase on its part is essentially in horizontal scrolling. The choice of vertical movement liberty in the exploration phase enables the player to discover treasures, secret boxes, stroll in between houses, etc.

Some images: making of

Here are some images of internal tests (our workshop!). You can even see our debug messages.

On a hill; Enzo will be able to follow the tilts of slopes. Enzo will be able to follow slopes' tilts
Enzo on a mountain: the blue square on the image is the camera’s focus. This square is invisible in the game. Square represents the camara's focus (invisible in the game)
Enzo has a wide range of techniques for his aerial movements: on this image also, the focus of the camera is visible.

Comparism with the former version

For those who have been following us right from the beginning, we thought of including some prototype images from July 2013. Compare the quality gap between both versions for yourselves.

Enzo’s walk in Zama, in the garden of his native city: this image was designed right back in July 2013 and enables you to appreciate progress made in development. Enzo Kori-Odan strolling in Zama (July 2013)

We hope you have enjoyed it.

For all those who have just started following us and who wish to be part of the adventure, you can:

Stay tuned and see you soon!!!
